We have big week in construction which celebrates and promotes Women in Construction. Today we welcomed the visit of Mia Higginson of BECT Building Contractors Ltd to our premises. Mia has been working closely with the J2R Demolition team at the Blue Dragon project in Cardiff Bay and has taken on the responsibility of the extensive heritage items that have been recovered/salvaged and stored for reintroduction into the project at build stage. Mia was welcomed by our Director Natasha and office manager Olivia.

J2R has successfully completed the strip-out, asbestos removal, and demolition of the former Pontllanfraith Comprehensive. The project involved the demolition of 13 buildings across a 7,500m² footprint and presented several challenges, from managing bat habitats to safely demolishing a building over a live culvert. A huge credit to our site team for delivering this project to exceptional standards and ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction.
